Chapter 32 and 33

Chapter 32 - Yo-Yo's Roomies
As the weather turns colder, more new pilots arrive to replace the ones killed in action. Yossarian is horrified when four obnoxiously chipper, friendly, noisy, wholesome, and excited youths arrive in his tent. He fights the new rooming situation as best he can, but in the end must accept them. He even tries to get Chief White Halfoat to move in and scare the kids out, but the Chief is too busy attempting to die of pneumonia, something he has been promising to do for months.

The kids throw out the belongings of the dead man (Mudd), and use the stove that Orr built as if it were their own. Yossarian, not knowing what else to do, flees on leave time to Rome again.

Chapter 33 - Nately's Whore
In Rome, the prostitute with whom Nately is in love finds herself trapped in a fancy hotel room with several high-ranking generals who won't let her go. Yossarian, Nately, and a few others track her down, barge in, and begin throwing all the generals' belongings out the window, including uniforms. This is quite ingenious, because when the generals attempt to pull rank, their lack of uniforms make them somewhat hard to believe.

Once all are safely back at the brothel, Nately's whore falls asleep immediately. When she wakes, she finds she is in love with Nately. This lasts for about three minutes, until Nately becomes bossy with her. He tells her she must give up streetwalking, not walk around naked in front of other men, and stop associating with the old man in the brothel. The whore calls him crazy and a huge argument begins, ending with her walking out.
