What is Dim Sum
"Dim Sum" is one of the main parts of Chinese Gastronomy. It is a collection of appetizers, snacks and pastries prepared in many variations. Dim Sum is made from a variety of meat, vegetables and seafood which are steamed, pan fried, boiled, braised, stewed or baked. A variety of desserts are also available in the form of buns and cakes. The origin of Dim Sum dates back to the Tenth Century in Southern China and has since become one of the most known and favorite dining selections throughout the world. Why is Dim Sum so attractive? Because it offers a variety of selections which can be enjoyed as an appetizer or main dish and is both economical and satisfying.
