Ambiance: Romantic, Elegant, Modern Entertainment: Live Attire: Casual Elegance Located within Hotel: Pan Pacific Hotel

Restaurant Description:Fit for formal dining as well as a casual rendezvous. Luxury that you want with friendliness that you need. Located in the luxurious Pan Pacific Hotel in the Union Square shopping district. If luxury is what you want and friendliness is what you need, Pacific fits the bill. Tucked into the marble opulence of The Pan Pacific Hotel, Pacific's setting is as fitting for formal wear as it is for a casual rendezvous after work. Here, you can dine regally on foie gras and filet mignon, or feast on an incredible prix-fixe menu for a mere $29. Always an elegant restaurant, Pacific has become a culinary destination since Chef Takayoshi Kawai came on board. After eight years as sous chef at Masa's, Taka, as he is known, is a master of technique and creativity. His impeccable standards demand the freshest ingredients, and his style emphasizes beauty of presentation and depth of flavor. That extends to the desserts, which include a stellar creme brulee and a sublime chocolate and lime Napoleon. Pacific may be the best place for a pre-or post theatre meal, since the location is idea, the service is gracious, and the ambiance worthy of a special evening. The wine list is exemplary, but what is most impressive is the more than twenty wines by the glass, all first rate.
