Christian Delouvrier

Les Celebrites, the signature restaurant of the Essex House/Hotel NIKKO New York is an intimate, 60 seat French restaurant which revels in the unique food of its Executive Chef, Christian Delouvrier. It features contemporary cuisine which artfully combines the best of Mr. Delouvrier's vast experience in France with cooking techniques learned from his travels in the orient. His creative dishes aim for intense flavors and harmony while holding steadfast to his method of cooking called "cuisine du terroir".

Wine Spectator's March 1995 Dining in America issue selected Les Celebrites as one of the fourteen top dining establishments in the U.S. In the February 1994 issue of the Wine Spectator, Les Celebrites was selected as the best restaurant in New York City, and in both issues Les Celebrites received the highest ratings for ambiance (100), the only 100 rating given to a restaurant in any category.

Christian Delouvrier, Executive Chef of the Essex House and responsible for its highly acclaimed French restaurant was praised for his creative food which aims for intense flavors and harmony.

What has been produced in Chef Delouvrier's domain is , according to the Wine Spectator, "a great French restaurant ....in a class of its own".
