Mediterranean Summer Menu to Celebrate Bastille Day, and the Warm Summer Evenings of July and August
Why struggle over a steaming stove when you can enjoy a refreshing repos at LE BOCAGE Restaurant, a cool oasis in Watertown? In harmony with the weather, Chefs Edward and Susanna Tolini has created a refreshing summer menu showcasing the Mediterranean region to begin on Sunday, July 15, Bastille Day. Noted for French Cuisine, Chef Edward Tolini has broadened the menu to include dishes of Mediterranean and northern Italian origin. "This comes very naturally to me" according to Edward, who descends from a lineage of well-known Boston chefs.
The summer menu is composed of dishes accompanied with reduction sauces utilizing broths, tomato base, olive oil, creme fraiche and fresh herbs, turning away from the more traditional butter based sauces. The menu is prepared with the freshest local ingredients with unique combinations such as Atlantic Salmon with an Orange and Onion Confit seasoned with Madras Curry finished with Creme Fraiche and a Saut�ed Beef Medallion with Lobster in a Spinach Chocolate, Hazelnut Pesto with Saffron and Tomato. to complement the Mediterranean flavors of this menu, Susanna has selected a wine recommendation for each main course, a special menu supplement will be provided to guide with the wine selection.
Le Bocage will also be collaborating the celebration of Bastille Day with Le Meridian Hotel with some items from their special menu: Tapenade on Toast Points, Poulet Nicoise with Tomato ,& Nicoise Olives, and Tri-Color Blueberries and Strawberries with Creme Chantilly Served over Frangipane. The prix fixe menu is a three or four course offering ranging in price from $25.00 - $47.00 per person and will continue to offer Le Bocage specialties such as Roast Rack of Lamb with an herb Seasoned Crust and Creme Brulee.
In addition to privacy, and comfort, the newly redecorated LE BOCAGE offers free parking and two private dining rooms creating a warm and charming ambiance with a garden setting.
