Here's Our Story....
In a city which regularly introduces restaurants, often only to have
them soon close, Jimmy's Restaurant & Bar in Beverly Hills is a celebration of
quality, consistency and creativity. After a 14-year association with the Bistro
Restaurant, finally as manager, Jimmy Murphy's friends and admirers backed him in 1978 in
a new restaurant located at the border of the Beverly Hills and Century City. Jimmy's
immediately became a mecca for the business and social leaders of the city and a preferred
meeting place for entertainment executives and celebrities. Today, 17 years later, this is
still the case.
"We have always made an effort to know and warmly welcome not only
our regulars but also our first-time guests", Murphy says. "As a direct result,
we have consistently made new friends and acquired new customers over the years."
According to Murphy, "Jimmy's is not a 'trendy' restaurant, nor do we wish it to be,
yet we are always in the process of introducing new menu items, new entertainment and
special offerings while maintaining a continuity of standards and personnel. We believe
that this has contributed to our continued success."
The luxurious and spacious interiors of the restaurant included several
dining areas, a bar and some of the most elegant private rooms found in a fine Los Angeles
restaurant. Jimmy's refined appointments are a fitting backdrop for the contemporary and
creative menu which reflects the international fabric of Los Angeles and favorites of a
loyal clientele. Executive Chef Marcel Vinson's French training includes work with such
culinary stars as Joel Robuchon and Michel Menant of Maxim's. Vinson directs a staff of 20
including Pastry Chef Mauricio Guerra who with his crew twice daily creates the extensive
display of desserts on the marble tiered buffet near the entrance to the main dining area.
Jimmy's Restaurant & Bar features covered parking with valet service
