Restaurant Description:A simple dish of pasta and glass of wine or a full course meal with one of Italy's finest bottles of Barolo, one's choices at I Matti are numerous. This casual, upscale trattoria, centrally located in Adams Morgan, opened its doors in 1989, following Roberto Donnas overwhelming success with Galileo. How did Roberto come up with the name, I Matti, which in Italian means crazies? After a serious Galileo, I Matti came as the more fun, relaxing approach to food. "Everything about I Matti is fun, the environment, the neighborhood and the customers. It's always good to be a little crazy", according to Donna. I Matti offers a set menu with daily specials. Each menu item is characteristic of Italian simplicity.
