Restaurant Description:When The French Room at The Clift Hotel opened in 1934, it had no competition for the patronage of San Francisco diners. It was one of the most beautiful dining rooms ever to be built in The City, and quickly became one of the most prominent restaurants on the West Coast. Hosting heads of state, celebrities, travelers from around the world and locals, alike, The French Room was a distinctive restaurant in one of the most exclusive hotels in San Francisco. Over sixty years later, and in a much more competitive market, The French Room continues to beckon diners who enjoy elegant surroundings and personalized service.
